Achieving recreation and wellness through the strength and spirit of community

Supporting the creation of the New Palo Alto Recreation & Wellness Center

We strive to provide an equitable and meaningful experience to visitors of all communities, backgrounds, and abilities. The PARWC will offer a true recreation wellness experience to children and families for generations to come.

Finally, a recreational facility built for all in the community…

Palo Alto does not have a recreation/gym/wellness center that serves the entire community. There is a lack of available indoor sports and recreation space. The 2017 Parks and Recreation Master Plan identified a gym/recreation/wellness center as one of the top priorities for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the community.

…with a wide range of sports, exercise and wellness programs for all ages and activity levels.

The Recreation Wellness Center will serve Palo Alto and neighboring communities to ensure lifelong recreation, exercise, wellness for the entire community. We believe that resources exist in Palo Alto to build and operate this Center as a public/private partnership.

Our organization relies on the generosity of donors like you to fund our important work. We are committed to making a positive impact in our community and beyond, and we cannot do it without your support.

It’s hard to believe Palo Alto is one of the only cities in the area without a city owned recreational facility. As a 1960 Olympian, I know the power of sports and exercise for all. This new facility will offer so much to so many especially to those who can’t afford the cost of gym memberships. This new wellness center is long overdue and will provide a safe, positive environment and opportunities for all.”
